Dear Talent Participant,
We are so very excited that you have chosen to be part of Boca Raton Synagogue West’s second annual talent show, INSPIRE. Whether you will be showcasing a hidden talent, a dormant talent, or a talent rearing to go, we want to express how very excited we are for your participation. The arts lifts us up and enriches our lives individually and as a community. It is our privilege to provide the venue for you to share with all of us.
For our second year we have chosen the theme, “On the Wings of King David”.
We as artist find inspiration in everything and everywhere. This year we are asking the artist to find inspiration in Tehillim/Psalms. The songs/poems and prayers of King David are rich with inspired material. Within the 150 Psalms one finds expression of virtually every kind of human emotion - joy, fear, sorrow, pain, anguish, despair, hope, confidence, exhilaration, frustration, yearning, awe, laughter, serenity and triumph. Tehillim provides a prayer for every occasion, feeling and experience. So please use a verse, phrase or sentence that can springboard your creativity in making your performance piece. You do not have to be literal in your selection. Please take the meaning or emotion and bring it to light in your performing art.

Please Note:
